It started with a gap that could not be ignored.
Crimes against children were growing in scale and complexity, and the people investigating them were being asked to do more than any single agency could carry alone. The need was urgent. The resources were not keeping pace.
Operation Light Shine began with a simple conviction: the people fighting to protect children should never have to fight without support. What started as a response to that need has grown into something much larger.

Operation Light Shine has grown into a complete model of support. We equip investigators with technology and training. We reimburse dedicated personnel and strengthen task forces. We bring federal, state, and local agencies together with private partners and technology providers. We educate families and communities. We advocate for stronger support. One purpose connects all of it: bringing the right people and resources together to protect children.
The need is growing. So is our resolve.

We are expanding our reach, deepening our partnerships, and building durable support that holds when resources are limited and the need is urgent.
